This falconry demonstration just for our group takes place in the countryside around Burnley in Lancashire.
Paul a local falconer will be demonstrating Harris' hawks with the emphasis on getting to know the birds and how to handle them safely. This is followed by a walk in the countryside with the birds flying on behind us. More confident members will be given the opportunity to watch the birds fly freely and fly back to their glove.
After flying the birds there will be an opportunity to have your photo taken with the hawks.
There is a lovely walk in the nearby Bluebell woods that I will be happy to take members on after the hawking.
Children are welcome but there is a minimum age of 12 years for handling the birds and any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not permitted.
We strongly suggest you bring wellies or walking boots and a waterproof jacket.
Places are limited to a maximum of 8 so please book early to avoid dissapointment.
