Complete novices or experienced enthusiasts can find out about the secrets of producing the finest food on this original and popular Beginner Master Chef course.
The course provides a hands-on opportunity to develop a wide range of culinary skills, learn chef’s secrets which will really impress your dinner guests and of course a chance to make new friends.
This residential cookery course, under the instruction of the Head Chef, includes one and a half days tuition in:
+ Safe food handling and hygiene
+ Cooking utensils and knives
+ Learning basic food preparation skills
+ Chef’s secrets
+ Preparation of Saturday’s 3-course Lincolnshire dinner
+ Flavours, dry spices and reduction to concentrate flavour
+ Sauce preparation
+ Silver service
ACCOMMODATION
The Olde Barn Hotel has developed an excellent reputation for food, mainly due to their commitment to supporting local producers. As members of the Tastes of Lincolnshire scheme, the menus feature various local specialities and herbs picked from the hotel’s garden.
After a busy day, relax in the hotel’s leisure facilities, which include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Rooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee-making facilities and iron. All members attending will have their own room which will either be a double or a single room for their sole occupancy! No dicounts are given for those wishing to share and there are no penalties for single occupancy.
The hotel is located close to Marston, one mile from the A1 with free guest parking. The closest train station is Grantham, which is a 15-minute drive from the hotel.

No payments are made to Zest and the holiday provider is ATOL protected. A tour rep will accompany you on this holiday but this may not necessarily be a Zest employee. There will be other people attending this holiday - this is not solely a Zest holiday please book early to avoid disapointment.
A deposit of £100.00 will secure your booking and the remaining balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday. Travel insurance is not included in the price of this holiday - it is suggested that you arrange your own travel insurance in the event you need to cancel. Cancellation terms and conditions of the holiday supplier apply (which will be sent to you before you book).
