Have you always wanted to have a go at SCUBA diving but never found the time or had the opportunity? Now’s your chance to sample this fun-packed activity on a taster weekend with expert tuition. So come on, take the plunge with us!
Take up SCUBA diving and gain access to a mysterious and fascinating underwater world which may lead on to new and exotic overseas adventures. Learning to SCUBA dive overseas can be costly which is why our good value UK break enables you to try the activity in safe hands, without committing to a full course. Once you know you enjoy the new sensation of weightlessness and the exhilaration of breathing underwater, the decision to gain your full credited PADI qualifications locally or overseas won’t seem so challenging.
To start with, you will learn the ropes during a two-hour swimming pool session at a leisure centre in Ramsey, with clear and friendly guidance, kit familiarisation and full equipment provided. Qualified instructors divide our group into smaller groups, each with their own instructor and assistant to ensure full care and attention is provided. Once our confidence has grown, next up is an outdoor adventure as we head to nearby Gildenburgh Water in Whittlesey for a guided open-water lake dive, complete with full equipment and wetsuits. Although not credited with a formal qualification, this taster course finishes with a certificate to celebrate your achievement and demonstrate what you have sampled. What’s stopping you from dipping your toe in the water and giving SCUBA diving a go?
Discuss the day’s experience over an included evening meal, with wine, back at our hotel in central Peterborough. If you have the energy, there are plenty of wine bars and local nightlife to sample within walking distance from our hotel.
Please note that although the majority of people in good health and reasonable fitness can learn to dive, a medical check is required before the start of the weekend, so a questionnaire will be sent to you at the time of booking. Please provide your height, shoe size and (f) dress/(m) chest size at time of booking, to enable equipment preparation.

ACCOMMODATION
The contemporary Park Inn Peterborough Hotel is centrally located, adjacent to Queensgate Shopping Centre and a three-minute walk to the cathedral, numerous cafés and wine bars. Hotel facilities include the RGB Bar & Grill restaurant and a cosy lounge. Rooms boast large windows with city views, air-conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, safe deposit box, tea/coffee-making facilities, telephone and hairdryer.
The hotel is located off Junction 16 and 17 of the A1(M). Peterborough Station is within walking distance from the hotel (approx. 8 minutes). Complimentary hotel car parking is available onsite.

No payments are made to Zest and the holiday provider is ATOL protected. A tour rep will accompany you on this holiday but this may not necessarily be a Zest employee. There will be other people attending this holiday - this is not solely a Zest holiday please book early to avoid disapointment. All members attending will have their own room which will either be a double or a single room for their sole occupancy! No dicounts are given for those wishing to share and there are no penalties for single occupancy.
A deposit of £100.00 will secure your booking and the remaining balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday. Travel insurance is not included in the price of this holiday - it is suggested that you arrange your own travel insurance in the event you need to cancel. Cancellation terms and conditions of the holiday supplier apply (which will be sent to you before you book).
